Where to Find Me

About Me

I've been on a shamanic path since 2013, blogging about it for almost as long in various corners of the internet. This blog contains some of that content from over the years, as well as new explorations on my intuitive journey through my soul path.

Prior to shamanism, my background was in academic research in the fields of biology, psychology, neuroscience, and neuroendocrinology. I hold a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin (2007), and an M.S. in Psychology from there as well (2013).
If you're interested in my research background, you can find me on PubMed here.

Academic research feels like a lifetime away, but it was during my then Ph.D. program that my first child was born and my spiritual awakening started.

From there, I learned that I had the gift of shamanism (from my sister, who is a medium, and brought through our great-great grandfather who said as much), and I slowly started learning with the help of my sister, who would channel my spirit guides to teach me. Since that time, I've had many physical and non-physical teachers of shamanism, and in many ways, my own life has been a great teacher.

Shamanism has been a blessing in my life, but I was resistant to it at first. I did not want to do shamanism. I wanted to stay in what I perceived to be my regular, normal, research-person life, and I didn't want to be what I felt, at the time, was a mystical healer.

I did not embrace it with open arms, and it took me four years to accept this part of myself and release the idea of who I was before.

If you've come here, and you're reading this, resisting shamanism and this part of your path, I understand. I've been there. I know that feeling. You're safe and you're loved.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

xo,

Sarah
